Dr. Ourania Petropoulou is a Teaching & Research Associate (Researcher Grade A) at the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory, School of Electrical & Computer Eng., National Technical University of Athens with main subject "e-Services in Health and Education". She is also a Postdoctoral Researcher and Teaching Associate (Postgraduate programme in "e-Learning") at the Department of Digital Systems at University of Piraeus, Greece. From November 2011 she is a Research Associate in the Faculty of Education at the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (undergraduate and postgraduate level). Her main areas of expertise in basic and applied research are: Informatics in Medical Education, eHealth systems & Telemedicine, Games for Health & Εeducation, Educational assessment in eLearning environments, ICT and its applications in Education, Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL), Adult Learning, Interaction Analysis & Visualization tools, Instructional Design & Design Patterns, Learning Management Systems (LMS). She has been active in numerous European and National R&D programs in the fields of e-Learning & ICT in Education, and she has published several (over 60) research papers in international journals, conferences and books in her areas of expertise.
