Nuclear magnetic resonance: physical principles, pulse sequences, relaxation procedures, image acquisition and reconstruction techniques, magnetic resonance imaging systems, safety issues. Positron emission tomography: basic principles, radioisotope generation and radiation detection, image reconstruction algorithms, clinical applications, safety issues. Telemedicine.
